Take your Arduino project to the next level: connect it! This workshop prepares you to connect to your Arduino using wifi, bluetooth, and more.
· 1st Segment: Arduino Development – Quick Overview
This is a quick review of Arduino boards and the Arduino development cycle. We will go over various boards, shields, kits, the programming tools, and basic electronic circuit interfacing.
We will use some of the Arduino IDE examples to setup input and output devices to use in the connected Arduino exercises
· Short break
· 2nd Segment: Arduino Wired Communication
This segment provides hands-on experience on how to program the exchange of data/information using the Arduino. We will cover four methods: 1) Arduino-to-PC using a USB cable, 2) Arduino-to-Arduino using serial (UART), 3) Arduino-to Arduino using the SPI interface, and Arduino-to-Arduino using I2C.

· 3rd Segment: Arduino Bluetooth Communication
This segment provides hands-on experience on how to program the exchange of data/information between two Arduino boards, between Arduino and a PC, and between Arduino and a smartphone using Bluetooth technology.
Day 1 Materials:
- one Arduino board: Uno, Due, Leonardo, or other popular boards
- Arduino IDE: http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
- Personal laptop (PC or Mac)
$200 for both days. Bring your Arduino or be prepared to buy one at cost from us, as well as a laptop with the Arduino IDE installed.
