Connected Arduino: Bluetooth and Wifi, Session One

This hands-on Arduino workshop will show you how to make your Arduino microcontroller-based devices talk to other connected devices such as computers, other Arduinos, Android smartphones, smart Internet of Things (IoT) devices, servers and web services in the cloud. This workshop is for intermediate Arduino users, but beginners are welcome to attend a we will review the basics of Arduino development at the beginning of the workshop.

Saturday Session

1:00PM to 6:00PM

Arduino Development – Quick Overview

•Quick review of Arduino boards and the Arduino development cycle.

•Boards, shields, kits, the programming tools, and basic electronic circuit interfacing.

•Use Arduino IDE examples to setup input and output devices to use in the connected Arduino exercises

Short break

Arduino Wired Communication

•Hands-on experience on how to program the exchange of data/information using the Arduino.

•Will cover : 1) Arduino-to-PC using a USB cable, 2) Arduino-to-Arduino using serial (UART), 3) Arduino-to Arduino using the SPI interface, and Arduino-to-Arduino using I2C.

 Short break

 Arduino Bluetooth Communication

•Hands-on experience on how to program the exchange of data/information  between two Arduino boards, between Arduino and a PC, and between Arduino and a smartphone using Bluetooth technology.
