Connected Arduino: Bluetooth & Wifi, Session Two

This hands-on Arduino workshop will show you how to make your Arduino microcontroller-based devices talk to other connected devices such as computers, other Arduinos, Android smartphones, smart Internet of Things (IoT) devices, servers and web services in the cloud. This workshop is for intermediate Arduino users, but beginners are welcome to attend a we will review the basics of Arduino development at the beginning of the workshop.

Sunday Session

1:00pm to 6:00pm

Overview of networking with Arduino

•Explore the different options available to makers and developers for using Web services API, cloud storage, etc. We will setup accounts on Xively, ThingSpeak, Twitter or any other participant preferred online social network

Short Break

Connecting Arduino using an Ethernet shield

•Build connected Ethernet Arduino sketches that sends data to the local network, to Twitter or to an open source platform for the Internet of Things (such as Xively or ThingSpeak) to log and display the data.

Short Break

Connecting Arduino using a Wi-Fi shield

•Build connected Ethernet Arduino sketches that sends data to Twitter or to an open source platform for the Internet of Things (such as Xively or ThingSpeak) to log and display the data.
